  shortcut for selecting transition

  “command t” add transition

  then what if i want to delete or adjust that transition?
  do i really have to click on the transition with the mouse?

  i must be missing something super obvious right?

  if you do it right after you add the transition, Command Z will clear it. Other than that, yes I believe you have to click to select it.
