    Hello,

I’m having a little sync issue that I wanted to run by here, to see if anyone could help me narrow down the problem.

I have 2 editors plus myself working off a single server, on my system I have no problems – it is only theirs that have issues.

We’re all using Final Cut 7, and they’re running into some sync problems. Sometimes when they play the video, the audio (or maybe it’s the video) begins to fall out of sync, but as soon as they press stop, and start again, it’s back in sync. So it’s not the actual video/audio (as they work fine on my system). In addition, this happens both in the viewer when just ONE clip is selected, and in their sequences.

We’re all running of snow leopard 10.6.3.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks so much!

sorry, i somehow wrote the incorrect subject and it won’t let me edit that.
this is a SYNC issue, nothing to do with dvds.

    thanks

Xsan server controller attached to a V-TRAK 46.5 TB server. It’s connected by fibre.

The other vital detail is monitoring. I recently had unreliable sync on playback until I upgraded my Kona software. So how are each computer handling monitoring and if via an I/O card, are they the same and with the same software drivers?
