  Problem when move clip from FCP to Motion

  I have a clip in FCP that I did a color correction and also have some other effects and I want to add some text to the clip so I send that clip to Motion and then my color correction and effects are gone, I would like to know if this is normal, so I will have to do all my color correction and effect in Motion or first duplicate my clip to save all color correction and effect so I can add the color correction and effect to the motion clip but my color correction will affect my new text, so if somebody know about this I will appreciate your help.

  Export a self contained movie with your effects on it, dupe the timeline, import and replace the timeline clip with your exported clip, send that new clip to motion. Or you can always render the text out on an alpha channel, but depending on your effects, that might not work.
