  Adding Drop Shadow Chnages Video?

  Everyday is something new. We have a producer here adding text over video. Once he adds a drop shadow to the video, the video changes to a different clip. Take the drop shadow off and it reverts to the clip it is supposed to be… I created new text using both the lower 3rd and normal text, and no matter which one I used, the same result. Tried restarting, no luck, still happens. Any ideas?
