    Hello guys

I’ve got a project that involves making the black background on karaoke videos transparent to allow for a background video to show through.

Chromo keying works best for the job but i have 6000 videos to do and doing them all separately would take a long time.

I was wondering if there is a way to batch process the whole job as all Im asking is getting rid of the black in a standardized video. all the videos are the same as far as layout so is this possible?

    thanks in advance guys!

    try a luma key.

test it out on several random clips.

if it works, go for it.

I can get good results on both luma and chroma and ive already done 100 vids like this.

The actual videos are very basic just a black background with with yellow and purple karaoke words. there are no other black colours that will be affected by chroma keying. in this case luma keying does a good job but its not specific and if i was to try to batch the whole job the chroma key looks to be a better option.

My main problem is not the video editing i can get the videos the way i want them but it is the amount of work i have to do.

luma keying/chroma keying 6000 vids is alot of work so i thought that maybe batching a job would be best if it is possible? as they say we be able to get computers to work for us as opposed to working for them
