I am working on a project that involves Cyrillic (russian) subtitles.
I downloaded two Cyrillic.ttf fonts which seemed appropriate and loaded them into the font book. The fonts appeared in the font selector in FCP’s text drop down menu. I inserted the text over the video and the new font appeared in Russian and looked really great. After re starting FCP a few minutes later, the fonts still appeared in the menu but would appear only as a standard english (not Cyrillic) font. How can I correct this?

Have you rebooted your computer since installing the new fonts?

    Mark,

Thanks for the response. It seems to be working fine on my Mac Pro. The problem still persists on the Mac Mini even after re-boot. As long as I use the Mac Pro I’m good to go.
