EXPORTING HASSLES, Does ANYONE know the answer?

Exported Sequence with time code reader. All I wanted to do was a window burn with TCDVNTSC with a size of 768×576
Took 14 hours!!!Tried many other codecs and most all were 22-30 hours.
Is there a simpler, better way?
Much appreciated.Again its for a LOWQUALITY WINDOW BURN, 16:9 to be burned into TOAST.

Yes. Export a reference QT movie.
Go into Compressor and make your MPEG-2 / AC3 files for the DVD and turn on the Timecode Reader filter. This will add your TC Window as it creates the files.
Make your DVD using DVDSP instead of Toast.
We do this all the time. Takes about 1.5 hours to render a 1 hour video file here on our Octo Core 2.93 machine. Speed of the render wholly depends on the speed of your machine.

To add to Walter’s advice, in Compressor make the m2v encode method a CBR and it will be a lot faster than leaving it as a VBR.
Doing the m2v encoding in compressor instead of another codec, and taking that into Toast or even DVDSP means you are doing encoding twice and that is the most time consuming thing.
