  Log and transfer metadata

  Hi

  I’m having trouble with metadata using log and transfer – FCP seems to randomly loose metadata.

  I am ingesting p2 and canon 5d clips using FCP, these are then ingested into FCserver. I thought FCserver was the problem but it appears it is actually FCP itself. This is my workflow:

  open the drive/folder containing my media
  log all data i want to add in and add the media to the queue
  close the project and reopen it, import the ingested folder to verify all my metadata is intact

  at this point some of my clips appear to not have the metadata I added!

  any thoughts?
