CHV Pro Key problems
We recently did a clean instal of Snow Leopard and FCP 7 on our MacPro octo 3.2g + 8 gig RAM. We just pulled the old system drive and put in a new one so we could always go back if disaster struck.
After the main components were installed we then reinstalled all our FCP plugins which included the CHV ProKey plug in and associated files. All these plugins work perfectly under Leopard on this computer
Now FCP 7 crashes all the time and especially when we use the CHV ProKey.
This FCP system is using a Blackmagic Multibridge and was working fine on Leopard.
As a test we turned playback OFF to the Multibridge and just used playback to the desktop and it didn’t crash when we applied the CHV ProKey. Strange . . .
So we completely uninstalled the CHV plugins and the system worked perfectly when playing to the Multibridge. Then we reinstalled the CHV plugins and the crashing started again. This was just ‘installing’ the plugins, not actually using them.
So now we have the CHV plugins removed and need to do some greenscreen work. The only thing we can do is go back to the old system drive running Leopard.Has any of you guru’s here had a similar problem and can sell me a solution?
