  Mirror on desktop? (for those with IO cards)

  Using a Matrox MXO2…I’m having issues displaying XDCAM HD422 footage (new mac pro) Footage is on internal drives RAID0. Seems when I play a long timeline…it starts choking on playback after a couple minutes. If I turn Mirror on Desktop OFF, it seems to play back smoothly.

  Do the rest of you have this turned off?

  I always have that off. Not sure what purpose it serves.

  Its purpose is to play out to external monitor AND on the desktop. So, when u press play, the only video in motion is on your external monitor?
