  FCP audio

  I mistakenly recorded some video with a new camera only on one audio channel. I’ve since figured out what I did wrong. Is there a way to copy and paste my one good track onto the other track (in FCP) so that I have audio coming out of both speakers? I know it will be mono.

  Select your audio in the Timeline and copy it. Spot the playhead to beginning of all tracks. Directly to the left of the tracks you will see the Toggle Auto Select button. Turn this off for the existing track and on for a new target track. Now paste. The duped audio will appear on the target track.

  You can now select both tracks, head up to the Modify menu, and select Stereo Pair, if you wish.

  Just pan the audio to the center. No need to duplicate the track. It just fills up track space.
