  dissolve problem

  Every time I add a dissolve on my footage, the dissolve adds a high brightness level. As a result, there is an annoying shift of contrast starting with the transition.
  Does someone knows what is going on?

  I’m editing a trailer from an avid mxf footage I imported on FCP 7.

  Mght be that the codec isn’t really supported by FCP. How about transcoding a small bit, a couple shots, to ProRes, and then try the dissolve?
