  Arrrhhggg! Another Dropped Frame on capture problem

  Hello All,

  I feel I will be boring you all with another similar thread to many others, however…

  I am using Mac OS X Version 10.5.8, 3.06 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4Gb Ram, Tb hardrive. External hardrive (Where i am trying to capture to) 1Tb Seagate Expansion 480mBits/Second (I read this was fast enough).

  Final Cut Pro 6.0.6

  I am capturing from the original camera I filmed from the Canon XM2.

  As soon as the capturing starts it brings up the message ‘Dropped frames were detected during the last capture attempt.’

  I have tried various things but I am wondering if it is the firewire cable as my comp has 800 and my camera is 400. does this make a difference?

  Is there anything else I can try.
