  Log and transfer with p2 camera

  Hello everyone,

  I just recently purchased final cut pro and I am trying to ingest video from my panasonic hpx300. I am having no problems doing log and capture but this is only ingesting it in real time. Can anyone help me with ingesting it using log and transfer? I am hooked up via firewire and when I try “log and transfer” I can not find the video anywhere. I have tried putting the camera in pc mode, but still nothing. Any help?

  Rule #1 – BACK UP THE P2 CARD!!! Don’t Log and Transfer then erase the card. Your first job is to back up the FULL card structure to a hard drive. That is your master tape. THEN Import into FCP..onto a separate drive.
