I have a 94:38:00 Indie movie shot on DVCPro HD 720p and AVCHD (HMC-150). The DVCPro HD footage is not converted on the timeline, but most of the AVCHD footage is ProRes Proxy. I have read that ProRes LT is a good format for AVCHD footage…. Does the Herd agree with this or should I transfer to a higher bit rate ProRes for the final project. The ultimate goal of this movie is theater distribution, but that remains to be seen. Second question: given my source footage, would laying the final timeline off to DVCPro HD be an adequate format or should I spend big bucks on D-5 HD or HDCAM SR.
    Thanks in advance

The higher the bit rate you use theory would say you’d improve the end result.
