  Converting HD footage to SD

  I have been trying to get the best results converting HD footage to SD.
  The footage was shot with the EX-1, 1080i60. I have edited the footage in HD and copied the HD timeline into a SD timeline, exported that timeline into compressor, compressed at the best quality, and the footage does not clear. The footage looks washed out, not crisp. I’m not sure if I need to change some settings.
  Any help would be great.

  Wrong order. Export an HD movie, bring that to COmpressor, then make the SD movie out of Compressor. Ir if you are going to DVD, then just make the SD MPEG2 from the HD movie.
