  • Color Adjustment on traffic light

    Hi all,

I’ve got a shot with a biker running a red light. I’d really like to make the traffic light and only the light glow “super” red. What’s the best way to go about doing this without affecting the rest of the shot? Would an effect like a bloom or outer glow be more effective or is it better to use color correction?

In the process of making switch from avid to FCP so details are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Either put a mask on the street light and use a 3 way color corrector, or choose the red in the street light with the color picker in the 3 way color corrector and adjust to taste.

I’ve never used mask on FCP. Which one should I choose? Do I have to edit the same shot in again on V2?

    That would be easiest. Yes.

THere’s a bunch of ways to do it. Try a 4 point garbage mask and see if that works for you.
