    Howdy,
I have been reading about the issues w/ the CF cards and TC recording on the Z5u/Z57 when shooting tapeless. Looks like I might be outta luck. However, Is there a way to have the TC viewer from FCP appear in your finished project. I use a Z5U w/ the CF reader. Tapeless is sweet, however I will be shooting depositions and need to have the TC on the footage. Does this mean, that TC will only get captured to the tape. Of course I will be shooting Hybrid, both to CF and DV for archiving purposes so there should be a copy of the TC on the DV, its just that transfer is so much faster than capturing.
    Thanks.

I dont know the units, but there is no reason for a digital video file NOT to have TC.
(If it’s even half decent pro gear)

The DSLR cams are an exception, and i expect that they will get TC too eventually.

In the meantime, if there is no TC, you can add this to batch add it:

But do keep in mind that this generated TC probably will not match your tape TC, so if you need to go back to tape you’re in for a lot of manual work.
