Anyone would know why Video Filters/Perspective/Flop would be de-activated?

I know it’s probably a very simple answer… but i’m scratching my head

    Thanks!

A clip in the sequence needs to be selected first.

Yep – clip is selected in the sequence. When I choose Effects>Video Filters>Perspective:

Basic 3D / Curl & Flop are disabled.

    Mirror & Rotate are enabled.

The timeline window also has to be active (just in case)

Try dragging it from the effects tab in the Browser to the clip.

Double click the clip and make sure its shows up in the Viewer.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate all the ideas but I know how to apply a filter. For some reasons, the 3 mentioned are greyed out while all the other filters are available to use.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks again.

Sounds like a funky installation, or maybe the filters have gone into corruption land or something… you can’t apply them from the filters tab then?

No I can’t. I think you are probably right – corruption.

The best way then to do this is in Motion and send it back…

Just wanted to give an update on this issue:

I installed some new FCP plugins and somehow, the flop effects was enabled again.

Not sure what the problem was but installing new plugins resolved it.
