Flop Greyed Out
Posted by Frederic Lumiere on June 11, 2010 at 6:21 pmAnyone would know why Video Filters/Perspective/Flop would be de-activated?
I know it’s probably a very simple answer… but i’m scratching my head
Thanks!

June 11, 2010 at 7:12 pmYep – clip is selected in the sequence. When I choose Effects>Video Filters>Perspective:
Basic 3D / Curl & Flop are disabled.
Mirror & Rotate are enabled.

June 11, 2010 at 11:00 pmThe timeline window also has to be active (just in case)
Try dragging it from the effects tab in the Browser to the clip.

June 12, 2010 at 2:11 pmThanks guys. I really appreciate all the ideas but I know how to apply a filter. For some reasons, the 3 mentioned are greyed out while all the other filters are available to use.
Any ideas?
Thanks again.

June 12, 2010 at 2:45 pmSounds like a funky installation, or maybe the filters have gone into corruption land or something… you can’t apply them from the filters tab then?

June 12, 2010 at 7:29 pmNo I can’t. I think you are probably right – corruption.

June 13, 2010 at 6:46 pmThe best way then to do this is in Motion and send it back…

July 6, 2010 at 1:45 pmJust wanted to give an update on this issue:
I installed some new FCP plugins and somehow, the flop effects was enabled again.
Not sure what the problem was but installing new plugins resolved it.
