  error sending selection to soundtrack pro

  Just upgraded to FCP Studio (5.0.4), using Soundtrack Pro 1.0 for the first time. Using File>Send to>Soundtrack Pro Multitrack Project results in “Error sending selection to Soundtrack Pro”.

  G5 dual processor Power PC, 5 GB RAM, 100’s of GB free space on both boot drive and internal 2TB media drive. DV NTSC footage.

  Have trashed preferences for both FCP and STP. And FCP user data files. Repaired disk permissions.

  To no avail.

  Any suggestions welcome. Thanks!

  Upgraded to 5.0.4? The latest upgrade is FCP7.

  HIghlight the selection first then send to Soundtrack Pro.

  FCP 7
  MAC 8 core
  BlackMagic Studio Pro
  After Effects
  PhotoShop
  Illustrator
  Lots of other Fun Stuff!

  Hi Richard,

  My G5 tower is Power PC, not Intel chip. We stayed at FCP 5.0 for five years, 2005-2010, b/c FCP techies told us not to upgrade in mid-project, which just ended. So finally we are upgrading to Final Cut Studio after all these years.

  I will call Applecare about the error msg that it cannot sending selection to STP.
