I’m having problems trying to set the bitrate for H.264. It doesn’t seem to work at all.

    I made several test.
First test, For a 720×480 5second video, I set the bitrate to 100.
the file comes out as 1.47 meg.

2nd test, set bitrate to 500, file still comes otu as 1.47 meg

3rd test, set bitrate to 1000, file still come out as 1.47 meg

4th test, set bitrate to 5000, file still come out as 1.47 meg

    Well you get the point.

Can someone help me with this problem? If my bitrate doesn’t work, how can I calculate the amount I need for a certain video.

Try your test with a one or two minute movie. H264 is VBR and needs time to fine its grove.

I just tried that exporting a 5 minute video each in different bitrate under H.264 codec.

    heres my result.

    bitrate 500 = 93,024kb
    bitrate 1000 = 93,024kb
    bitrate 5000 = 93,024kb
    bitrate 20,000 = 93,024kb

I’m runnining out of ideas in how to solve this problem, I don’t know if my codec is damage, or am I doing things wrong.

    PLEASE HELP!
