I am running FCP 6.0.6 on a G5 and have been told that if I upgrade my Quicktime Pro 7.6.4 to 7.6.6, as my software update keeps asking me to do , it will cause me loads of problems with fcp. Is this true? Any advice would be great as I don’t want to go ahead and find that I then have problems as I can’t run the new Final Cut Pro 7 on this Mac as it’s a Power Mac G5 Quad and not an Intel one, again, or so I have been told! At the moment I cannot afford to buy a new mac and fcp pro. Should I just leave things as they are?

I would like to hear more on this. I’m using 6.0.6 with 7.6.6 and I am experiencing problems, though they could be related to a number of other things.
