I am working on video files sent to me by someone in Spain, who shot in HD on a Kodak zi8. I converted the files to prores and imported them to fcp. Problem: she shot about half of the clips with the camera tilted 90 degrees to one side. I need to rotate, but every way I’ve tried this so far in fcp or qt either looks horrible or makes fcp freak out. How can I do it?
    Thanks.

I did a batch conversion in mpeg streamclip, rotating the files and setting them to the same settings as my other files. This worked – fcp likes them, and although they have some extra black bars on the sides, they look ok. I’ll call this problem solved.
