    Hi,

I would like to ask if FCP can do the following two effects:

Side by side: In the final result videos, I would like to have two videos playing simultaneously side by side. The purpose is to let the audiences see the action shot from different angles in one screen.

Superimposing: Can FCP do, instead of picture in videos, video in videos. I would like to play two videos superimposing each other in the final result video.

    Hi Steve,

Thanks for quick response. I’m still using FCP 2. Can it still do the jobs. If yes, where can I find these function? under the effect menu?

This should really be in the FCP basic forum.
Double click video on track one and scale it down.
Double click video on track two and scale it down.
    position as needed.

And you are using OS9? Check your version of FCP again.

Basic video tutorials are available online and in books.
