  mixing SD and Flip HD

  I have worked exclusively with FCP in SD. I have a documentary project that was shot primarily with DVCam. I recently picked up a MinoHD Flip. I have gotten some great POV shots with it that I never could have gotten with my DSR 390. I would like to use them in my project. Should I edit in SD and convert my HD or on an HD sequence. Like I said earlier, the final product will be a SD output.

  If most of your footage is SD I’d use a SD timeline. Use Compressor or MPEG Streamclip to down-convert your Flip footage to SD before you edit. That way you’ll avoid a lot of rendering.
