30p in a 59.94 clip with sync issues
So….. We’ve got 59.94 footage that we recorded into FCP at ProRes (capture now) out of our DVCPROHD cameras which were set to 30p. (This is how the studio manager said they always have the PRORES capture setting set.. not sure why he set it like is, but think this is the root of our sync problem.)
The audio is out of sync with the video and has lots of hits and digital clipping artifacts.
When we speed the audio up 109% the video and audio snap into sync and the digital clipping/audio hits are gone. However, now the audio is pitched up. We can pitch the audio back down, but this doesn’t seem like the right way to do this. Any other suggestions?
