  Final Cut Speed Change Issue

  Working on a project involving multiple file formats in FCP 7. When a speed change is applied to any format, the sped-up footage looks really “video-y” with frame blending turned on. With it turned off, the footage is choppy. Any way to maintain the “film look” with the speed change?

  Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

  Sequence > Render > FULL then render. Judge output on a production monitor (or Canvas set at 100% precisely, if you do not have one).
  If you have done those things, look into creating speed effects in Motion using Optical Flow.
