  Camcorder for Final Cut Pro

  We are looking to purchase a camcorder for web videos for our small company. We want HD quality with easy encoding to FCP. Any suggestions in the 800-1200 range? Thanks!

  Take a look at any of the camcorders that use the ACVHD Codec. They range from $699 and up.

  Final cut studio can ingest AVCHD footage via “log and transfer” to 1080 ProRes and you are ready to edit in FCP. You will also need to invest in hard drives for archiving the footage you shoot but they are cheap and plentiful.
