editing feature, multiple video formats
ok, so i picked up a last minute job editing a feature for a low budget production company
there’s a whole mess on the footage. i have some things shot in 720, some shot in 1080, most shot in 60i or 30p, with the exception of a few shots in 24p :/
i figured out a majority of the footage is shot in 1080 in interlaced.
the way i have it now, i have been editing each scene in its own timeline/sequence. i’ve changed the sequences with 60fps (59.94) into a timeline with the same settings, but i changed it to 29.97fps.
so now i’m ready to put everything into one timeline. what would you suggest i do?
1. make a sequence set for 1080 at 29.97fps field dominance odd (which is what all the interlaced footage is set to) and then drag and drop each sequence into this sequence, then render it all?
2. render each sequence individually in its own timelines, then add them all into a single sequence?
really, i don’t know any other options after that. if those two aren’t good ideas, please let me know a better idea! i’m in need for some big time help here to help this rendering session go by the best possible way

If the majority is 1080i, convert all the remaining source footage to 1080i/60 (29.97) using Compressor.
No need for multiple timelines.
