I’ve got a 45 minute show with about 500 video cuts and I want to convert the EDL in a (tab delineated?) Excel or Word file that I can use to submit a network rights bible. So I need the source, R-in and out, and PB in-and out in separate columns. Any ideas?

    Thanks

one of the word processors lets you select the Whole block of text and do a “convert to table”
Then you delete the columns you don’t need. I just don’t remember if it was word, word perfect or pages.

Non-linear: all the time and nothing but.

Try sequence clip reporter from Intelligent Assistance. Generates an excel spreadsheet directly from FCP XML. Real time saver.

Select your sequence in the browser and Export > Batch List. I think that should open properly in Excel.
