Size of HD footage in viewer& Canvans
I’ been do SD editing in FCP for the last 2 years. Just got a XH-A1 figured out how to capture ,got the clips in the browser double click to load in the viewer and the image is huge I have to take the viewer down to 25% just so I can view the whole image. went to sequence setting, frame size 1280×720,pixel aspect ratio HD 960×720 anamorphic unchecked man I’m confused.

ah, the “HD” frame size is considerably larger than the SD NTSC frame size. There’s nothing to be confused about, (ironically inserted)

There’s nothing to correct. You chose to shoot on an HD. What is there to correct? Tell us what you’re trying to accomplish?

“There’s nothing to correct Tim.
Click on “Fit All” as the viewer and canvas size. HD does not get the anamorphic box checked as you would do in SD, the pixel shape is automatically changed, thus making your video display properly at 1280 x 720.
