  audio only when scrubbing

  please pardon what seems like a simple issue. i’ve been on avids at work and am brushing the dust off my fcp.

  i have a non-DRM protected MP3 which plays in my viewer. i drop it into my timeline and render it. but i’m only able to hear it when i scrub. when i play the timeline, it’s silent.

  any suggestions would be much appreciated. i’ve done some digging, but i can’t find an answer..

  Use an external program like Soundftrack Pro or QT Pro to convert the mp3 to aiff (PCM 48kHz 16/24 bit). FCP doesn’t like mp3s.
