  Escape Key Not Ending Capture Now?

  Hello,
  Firstly, I think this is an issue that extends beyond Final Cut, but I’m posting here to see if anyone has had the same problem. I’m working on a fairly new Mac Pro system at work. It appears my ESC key doesn’t work properly. For example, if I’m capturing using Capture Now and I want to abort, ESC doesn’t work as expected, it just MUTES the audio and continues the capture. I have gone into both Keyboard Layout in FCP and the Keyboard Shortcuts section of System Prefs and found nothing that would causing something like this. Interestingly, when in Quicktime or DVD player, the ESC key also does not escape out of full screen mode as it does on every other Mac I’ve ever used. Also, I CAN still Force Quit out of applications using Cmd+Opt+Esc as normal. Suggestions? Thanks.
