ProApps update 2010-1 is out

This makes FCP 7.0.2, Motion 4.0.2, Color 1.5.2, Compressor 3.5.2, Apple Qmaster 3.5.2 and Cinema Tools 4.5.1.
The typical: “The software improves overall stability and addresses a number of other minor issues. This update is recommended for all users of Final Cut Studio, Final Cut Server, and Logic Studio” accompanies the download. I’m downloading it now, and the release notes should be in the download, so I’ll post those when I get them.

And we expect a highly detailed report of how it works, what it breaks, what it fixes and (most important) what varieties of latte and esspresso it adds to Compressor’s out put menus.

Has anyone taken the plunge yet?
It looks like a relatively substantial update. I’m in the middle of a big project so am a little wary of updating just yet.

Taking the plunge right now… I’m between projects, cloned my OS drive and downloading the large 223 MB update.
Did you read what I said?
Before taking any updates, I ALWAYS clone my OS drive first. This way, if, there are ANY problems I can clone my old drive back. No having to reinstall, no pulling out of the hair because things are screwed up, just plain ole confidence that I have a backup.
I’m hopeful that it fixes my issues with FCS.

For sure, I always do the same. Better safe than sorry. Being on a big project with deadlines looming I haven’t got the time for things to go wrong even if I do have the peace of mind of having a backup!
I’ll be interested to hear of any issues or improvements you and others come across. I could certainly do with some improved stability, although that’s not really an FCP issue.
