  • Jump to/Select Edit point shortcut?

Posted by John Keith on March 16, 2010 at 8:02 pm

Anyone know a shortcut to jump to and select next edit point? Going through a bulk edit of 1 camera industrial footage, need to throw dissolves on each cut as well as on watermark clips on another track, would go much faster without the mouse…

    “V”

Under the tools menu, you can open up the keyboard layout or the button list to look up or change the keyboard shortcuts or place buttons in any window.

What kind of an answer is that??? You could make a similar response to any query at all.

Surely the point of this forum is to post answers to questions and help people.

The default shortcut is arrow up and down by the way. There’s a useful list of FCP shortcuts here

yes up and down will take you form edit to edit but it will not acknowledge connected clips I am also attempting to find a solution that will take me from edit point to edit point on any “track” connected clip or main story line.

But I have yet to find a solution for this. Any time i keep my hands off the mouse is time saved in my mind.

    Still looking for solution.
