  • QuickTime.mov convert to uncompressed AVI file

Posted by Gary Boland on March 9, 2010 at 8:40 pm

I have made a video commercial on my MAC in FCP and then made it a QT.mov.
It needs to play on a older PC driven college scoreboard.
The college needs it on a CD 112 pixels tall x 256 pixels wide saved in UNCOMPRESSED.AVI.file.

I have converted it with MPG Stream Clip, no good.
Im I missing something, or is there a full proof conversion software for Mac to convert QT to uncompressed AVI files?

You can make AVIs in Compressor using the ‘Quicktime Export Components’. 🙂

I guess that you school want an AVI “NONE”.
Make it in QT (NONE codec), and in MPGSTreamclip “SAVE AS AVI>>”.
This is a function of MPGStreamclip that allow to re-wrap the .mov as .avi without rendering.
