    Hello Cow Members,
I’m using FCP 7 and today I was working on a projects all Red file converted to Prores 422 files but later on in the day I was not able to save my projects or do a save as so I lost all the work I did. I was able to save it at one point then I got the error message can’t complete operation something like that.

    Thanks for the help.

Could be the file became corrupt.

Have you checked for the last saved version in the Autosave Vault?

I have my system set to autosave every 10 minutes (or even sooner on some complex projects.)

It can be a real life saver!

    Hi

You could try a couple of things in such a scenario
    1. Try saving the project onto a different hard drive.
    2. Open a new project, and copy the edit from your current timeline to the new timeline. That will definitely work.

Every time I run into this problem I do a save as to another drive. I have found that it will not let you save it anywhere on the drive that has that project file. I only have applications on my Systems drive so I’ve created an Emergency Save As folder on that drive for this situation. The next day when you turn on your computer don’t forget to move the new file over to where you have them saved. Best of luck.
