    Hi

I have a G4 tower with FCP5 on it and a Mac book with FCP6 no black magic cards etc because I only have to capture DV pal stuff for offline. But I have some old docy footage I shot years ago that is on VHS and would like to capture it and edit it in FCP. What would I need to run the VHS into the G4 or Mac Book?

    Thanks
    John

Just chain a VHS deck through the inputs of your DV deck so you can take the signals coming into the DV deck out into FCP via firewire.

I use a digital Sony Handycam with AV IN/ DV OUT connected to a VHS player via RCA and computer via Firewire. It works very well.
