  Does all deinterlacing make the footage darker ?

  I’ve just done a quick deinterlacing in AE, and the footage got alot darker. I can’t remember seeing this effect when using RevisionFX’s deinterlacer, but I might just have missed it. Does all deinterlacing make the footage darker, or does it only apply to the quick and dirty – render out in frames only – from ae.

  Deinterlacing shouldn’t generally make any difference to the brightness of your footage. How exactly are you deinterlacing the footage?
