  Clips showing as 30fps when filmed at 24fps

  When shooting with my Canon Vixia HF200 in MXP mode and my frame rate set to 24fps, after I import my clip in FCP through log and transfer and check it in the item properties under format it’s coming up at 29.97.

  Am I doing something wrong?

  Hi John,
  I don’t know that camera, and I’m a PAL-lander, but I guess that you have recorded p24 with Pulldown.
  There are 24 real pictures, but some are repeated to reach the standard 29’98fps.
  I guess that on Log&Transfer the Pulldown may be removed.
  Look for the option.

  That option is checked, but I’m still getting the same result.
