More audio tracks questions
The “Audio Tracks ‘by mistake’!!!” thread has a lot of great problems solvers. Thanks!
I’ve got two follow-up questions also about multiple audio channels, but best to start a new thread.
Audio Channel question 1:
What is the easiest way to individually monitor the channels of a source clip, i.e. to check for the best mic or best quality single channel — before splicing it in? The track monitoring “speaker” buttons and solo “headphone” buttons only control monitoring of tracks already in the sequence. And the audio controls in the viewer’s tabs don’t have a simple on/off control.Audio Channel question 2:
After an audio track is spliced into a sequence is there any way to tell from which channel of the source clip it originally came? For example, you (or another editor) figured out which channel of an interview has the best mic, and spliced it into track 1. Now you want to add in another clip and be sure to use the same mic for consistency. Is there any way to read which channel was used earlier?– Larry Asbell
