My project is set up as DVCPRO HD 720p60 (codec) using DVCPRO HD 720p24 clips & stills. All good.

I imported clips shot in DVCPRO HD 1080p30. These clips play fine in the Viewer, but lack smooth motion in the Timeline. I’ve tried rendering: no change. Tried exporting to Compressor and reimporting as DVCPRO HD 720p24. Still lurches along. Am I S.O.L for these clips, or is there a solution that I haven’t thought of?

Mass appreciation for this forum and the collective help & experience…

Is there a reason you have to work in a 24p sequence? Is your media really 24p or 24p at 29.97? Try working in a sequence native to the 30p material. It’s easier to add pulldown to the 24p then to remove frames from the 30p. Removing data never looks good. Not easily anyway.

Thanks Brett… The 1080p30 clips are 29.97, and I would like to use just a couple of these. The vast majority of the project is 720p24 (Panasonic P2 720p24/PN), so I thought it best to set up the sequences accordingly.

I’m nearing Rough Cut. Would you recommend changing sequence settings or just do without those 1080p30 clips? Thanks
