manage sequence name with duplicating
Is there any other way to append a different name to the end of a duplicated sequence, other than “copy” … AVID raises the numbering system by an increment of .01 … it would be nice if we could either control this, or have an option of changing it. “Jason’s Sequence Copy” doesn’t help me!

Change it. If you don’t like COPY, then change it to .01. Personally, I don’t like how Avid does it either, I change both…to the DATE that I duplicated.
Don’t get lazy… manually changing takes seconds.

I also use the date. There’s just one 2-11-10, right? But, if you number your sequence you’re constantly having to refer to the list of numbered seqs. to see how many numbered seqs. you’ve created etc.

ouch shane…don’t get lazy? I guess I should stop using all those favorites I’ve spent time creating? 🙂

Favorites are one thing. They can be things you don’t want to go digging for, or an effect that you tweaked a certain way. So recreating will take time. But adding a date? less than 5 seconds.
