Removing 3:2 pull down in Final Cut Pro
Ok So I have footage in a sequence in FCP 6 that has a 3:2 pull down in a sequence thats set at 29.97. The footage has interlacing issues due to the way it was shot. I need to remove the 3:2 pull down. Curently Im taking each source clip into After Effects, hitting Cmd-F for the interpret footage option, and doing a trial an error but first choosing ‘Guess 3:2 pulldown’, then trying WSSWW SSWWW SWWWS etc in the remove pulldown option. And stepping through one by one to see which one works. Then rendering out the new clip and dropping back in to an FCP sequence set at 23.98.
Is there any easier way to do this???
Thanks
Christian
