I hope this question has an easy response…

I have multiple clips (animations) that are the same length (14 sec.) created outside of FCP, for use in FCP7 and I created them with 4 sec. of handles. What I would like to find, is a way in FCP 7, to set the “IN’ and “OUT” point for one clip, copy them and paste them to the other remaining clips in the bin. I have tried multiple ways and the closest solution will paste the “OUT” point but keep the “IN” point at the head of the clip. I need both handles so I can apply 2 second transitions between each clip.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you,

    Derek

Hi Derek, you can set the in and out for one clip, then, within the browser, option-drag the timecode entries to the rest of your clips. You have to do them one at a time though.

Export the bin full of clips as a batch list.
Open in Excel and change the in/out to reflect the handles you desire.

Import the batch list into FCP and Reconnect to your media files.
