looking 4 the »cinema effect« like imovie has
hi everybody,
this is my first post so let me introduce myself real quick: i’m felix from cologne, germany, 24 years old and i like to film skateboarding.
ok, so…
imovie has this tool called »cinema effect« (i’m just translating from german) which allows you to add black bars in different sizes which creates a pseudo 16:9 look and so on… people who know imovie hopefully know what i’m talking about. what i like about this tool is, that you can shove the whole screen up and down to set the viewable part. i know that final cut also allows you to cut the screen but what i’m looking for, is a tool to shove the screen as mentioned above.
i guess this is quite easy to answer for you guys.

Effects>Matte>Widescreen.
In the future, you may want to search this forum first (this exact question is answered at least every month), or maybe peek into your FCP manual for these kinds of tidbits.
