  FCP Assemble edit to HDCAM SR

  I’m currently mastering an HD 1080i series to SR and I cannot for some reason do pick-ups on the tape. Every time I select an in-point on the deck and assemble edit, the audio either goes mute or starts from a random point. The video side works perfectly.

  Sounds like the drivers for the Blackmagic gear might need reinstalling. Have you tried that and have you tried simply trashing your preferences for FCP?

  Have you got Edit To Tape in editing mode and got the correct audio channels enabled?
