I’m trying to hookup an older IO to a 2ghz G5 running FCP 6.0.5 on 10.5.5.

The problem is that it displays only a still frame when I try to playback.

Before I investigate deeper, has anyone been able to run an IO on 10.5 and FCP 6?

    Thanx!

Check your playout settings. It sounds like they’re set wrong. They should match your timeline settings.

Power cycle the IO, hit “refresh settings” under your “View” drop down menu at the top of FCP. Also go there and see if it says “show all frames”. This setting sometimes is hard to get back when our IO has this occasional problem, but power-cycling it and manually re-setting it fixes it for me. I think it is more of an FCP issue than an IO issue myself, but I don’t have hard data to back that up.
