HVR-M15AU no External Video Tried Everything
Hi Gang,
This deck simply will not give me external video. I think I have every setting correct for a DV project. Seems like E to E will not kick in no matter what.Tearing my hair out. Please help if you can.
New deck, could it be faulty for External Video? Doesn’t seem likely.Kevin Monahan

Even in Rec/pause with the correct input selected and a record ready tape? I am guessing you are sending DV from FCP via firewire and the deck is correctly setup

External Video doesn’t work and I’ve got all the settings to where it should work. E to E won’t kick in. Yes, it is DV. I have it in DV mode not auto and using FCP Easy Setup not AJA Io or anything. Straight Firewire, component and composite out from deck hooked to monitor in.

I am using this deck as well and I can not get video out.
Oddly enough I am getting audio back out, but not video when outputting back at 1080i 50 for a 1080i 60i project which leaves me scratching my head.
On a side note, I have not yet used it for HDV capture. If you have used it for that would you mind sharing what your easy setup settings were for capture? ha ha
Sorry I couldn’t be of any help. If I find a solution I will respond asap.
