I have two pieces of footage that I would like to combine. One piece was shot letterboxed and the other was shot “squeezed”. I am wondering if there is a way to “re-frame” the letterboxed footage to match the squeezed footage so they could be used together to present in widescreen.

I am fairly new to Final Cut Pro and have very little experience with Compressor (which I have read could possibly help me with this issue).

thanks for any assistance that you could provide.

    Hi Damon,
I guess that you want to finish as SD Anamorphic, don’t you?
Drop everything in an Anamorphic sequence. You should need even to reframe the letterboxed sutff. FC should crop the top and bottom and make it fit in the Anamorphic canvas.
